Supporting Caterina’s Club

Elaine and Bill Ross giving check to Chef Bruno Serato for Caterina's Club

We recently made a donation to the amazing Chef Bruno Serato for his wonderful charity, Caterina’s Club.

The beginnings of the charity trace back to a visit Chef Bruno made with his mother, Caterina, to the Boys and Girls Club of Anaheim, just down the street from his White House Restaurant.  His mother noticed a 6 year old boy eating potato chips for dinner because his family couldn’t afford a proper meal. Caterina asked Bruno to make some pasta for the boy and they soon realised there were many more of these hungry “motel children.”  Bruno began making pasta for 72 children  5 nights a week and this gave birth to the program.

Bruno and his team now feed thousands of children daily and, in addition, they added a second program, “Welcome Home,” which provides qualified families living in a motel room with the necessary resources to move into an apartment or condo giving them safety and stability.

If that wasn’t enough, Bruno has also created a Hospitality Academy to provide job and skills training for students from low income families.

We’re very proud to give our support to Caterina’s Club and if you would like more info, or to make your own donation, please click here: caterinasclub.org
