Last night we gave to a cause we truly believe in – The Memorial Health Care Foundation and specifically for the MemorialCare Heart and Vascular Institute. This is very personal to us as Bill’s sister died unexpectedly last year, this month, from a heart issue.
We sponsored our friend Sofia Riley who is taking part in the MemorialCare “Dancing For Our Stars” Benefit on March 14th. Sofia is dancing in honor of her sister’s journey with congenital heart disease. Read more on this link and if you would like to contribute you can do that here too.

MemorialCare Long Beach Medical Center Foundation’s annual gala – Dancing for Our Stars (DFOS) – has become one of the hottest philanthropic events in Long Beach.
The 2020 DFOS “The Beat Goes On” Gala will take place on March 14, 2020 at Hyatt Regency Long Beach and will benefit MemorialCare Heart & Vascular Institute. The event will feature dancers from the community who either have been personally touched by heart disease or wish to support leading-edge heart and vascular care in our community.
“My sister Eleni has had cogenital heart disease that has caused her to endure three open heart surgeries, one valve replacement, plus one internal defibrillator which she lives with. She has never allowed that to stop her! She is a dedicated wife, mother of three boys, and simply lives life to the fullest. Her beautiful spirit and heart inspires me each day as I step out of my comfort zone and dance in her honor. ”
— Sofia Riley
Each dancer will partner with a professional dancer or significant other to choreograph and perform an original dance to an upbeat, popular song from their favorite era. Attendees will have an opportunity to support their favorite dancer(s) by “voting with their dollars” before and during the event as dancers vie for the coveted DFOS Champion Crystal Award.
